Please join us singing "He's Alive" on Easter Sunday at the 9:30am and 11:00am services.

About the music

  • Easter Sunday: "He's Alive" was written and first performed by Don Francisco in 1977. The song tells the story of the resurrection from Peter's point of view. You can right click and download a live recording (MP3) of "He's Alive" by Don Francisco.
  • Graduation Sunday: "Borning Cry" was written by John Ylvisaker in 1985 as part of an American Lutheran Church series on baptism called "Reflections. The hymn is now included in songbooks around the world. For more background see Ylvisaker's website.
  • "Friends" was written by Michael W. Smith and his wife Debbie. Amy Grant and Gary Chapman sing along on the recording for Michael W. Smith's debut album in 1983. When interviewed by the 700 club, Debbie and Michael shared that they wrote the song as a way to say good-bye to a friend from bible study who was moving away.

About the group

This choir is organized for those who love to sing favorite tunes from years past but have little time for regular rehearsal (due to school, work, kids, etc.). This group is open to all who are young at heart from 7th grade on up. Most music is in two parts and can be learned in as little as one rehearsal. We sing a few times during the year including Easter and Christmas with rehearsals prior to each performance.
